Creativity is a central source of meaning in our lives---when we are involved in it, we feel that we are living more fully than during the rest of life.

CSS Color Combo Challenge

Welcome to the Center Stage Spotlight March blog hop! If you arrived here from Karen's wonderful blog, you are on the right track, but if you didn't and would like to start at the beginning of the hop, jump back over to Stamp TV where you'll find the list of everyone participating in the hop.

Our hop this time is a color combo challenge based on this fun set of dishes from Pier 1. Thanks to Melissa Shultz for this fabulous inspiration photo and great color combo. These colors just shout spring to me, and I am definitely in the mood for spring!

Here is the card I created for the hop. It is a fairly straightforward card, but I discovered that in all of the patterned paper I own, I didn't have any with this color combo, so I decided to go for a more CAS look on this card. This fun label from the Gina K Designs Framed Greetings set was a great substitute for patterned paper. I colored the label, flowers, and butterfly with Copics and then cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 16. The greeting, which is from the Framed Greetings set also, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the next larger label die from the Labels 16 set to make the yellow layer, which is Pure Luxury Lemon Drop. The background is Pure Luxury Turquoise Sea and the green strip is Pure Luxury Green Apple. Some lines of holes poked along the top and bottom and a couple of pieces of ribbon easily finished this quick thank you card.

Thanks for hopping by, and don't forget to leave a comment at each blog as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (March 20) we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Head on over to Linda's beautiful blog to see what she had made for you with these beautiful colors.
